Teen Volunteers
Looking for ways to earn community service hours? Consider volunteering for Maitland Public Library.
In addition to earning hours, teen volunteers will:
- Assist with program setup and takedown
- Assist with craft preparation
- Organize library books
- Write book reviews
- Learn new skills and make friends
*Must be ages 14-17 to qualify.
We are currently accepting applications. Please complete the entire Teen Volunteer Application and review the dress code. Return it to the library via email or in-person to Youth Services Librarian, Christina Burgos at cburgos@maitlandpl.org.
Join the Friends!
The Friends of the Maitland Public Library is a non-profit corporation with the purpose of supporting and enhancing library services. The Friends promote the services and facilities of the library by sponsoring events of interest to the community. Residents and members are kept abreast of library activities by way of a semi-annual newsletter. The Friends raise funds to purchase books and equipment for the library through book sales in their on-site store and bimonthly events. Volunteers are encouraged to help sort donations; set up, organize, and cashier at book sales; and serve on the Friends board.
