Summer Reading for Adults 2017

 ~ “Build a Better World” ~

Summer Reading Program 2017

June 4 – August 4

Prizes will be drawn on August 11. Please include contact information on your returnables, and place in the box at Circulation.

Summer Reading is definitely not just for kids! Maitland Public Library has new books, special events, and family programs to help adults build skills, explore new subjects, and engage with your community.

Pick up a Summer Reading Starter Pack at the Circulation Desk to begin your Summer Reading adventure. Starter Packs come with a schedule of special events, reading log, and even a few surprises*!

Read at least one book, and hand in your reading log to the Circulation Desk to be entered in the end-of-the-summer prize drawings. You are welcome to read whatever you wish and your log doesn’t have to be full to hand in. One log per person, please. The suggested summer reading list is available HERE **, courtesy the Collaborative Summer Library Program.

In addition to your reading log, this year we are offering extra chances to win a prize! Complete the activities listed below and submit their forms to increase your chances to win prizes. All forms are found in your Summer Reading Starter Pack and are also available at the Circulation Desk.

  1. Complete a Book or Audio review form.
  2. Complete the “Build a Better World Tic-Tac-Toe.”
  3. Complete the “Citizen’s Activity Sheet.”

Don’t forget to participate in the LONG LIST of exciting summer programs, including a very special movie series, complete with popcorn! Click HERE for movie listing.

Maitland Public Library welcomes your feedback on all classes, events, and programs. Please share your experience HERE.
