Health and Cooking in the Library
We consider our participation in Healthy Central Florida, as part of Healthy Maitland, a vital part of the Library’s function. We offer a number of health-related programs, and programs to help patrons improve their health, under the Healthy Maitland umbrella.
Heartfulness Meditation
The Heartfulness Meditation group meets in person on the FIRST Monday of every month and via ZOOM every Tuesday night from 6:00-7:00pm. Go to the calendar for Zoom access.
Adult Cooking Classes
We love to cook at Maitland Public Library; we offer a number of educational (and delicious!) adult cooking demonstrations.
Cultural Cooks: local cooks share their cultural cooking expertise. Past demonstrations include Vietnamese Cooking with Ha Roda and Vegetarian Cooking with Shahzad Gill.
Healthy Chefs of Maitland: area restaurant chefs cook some of their most popular dishes at the library.
We are also posting our cooking content Virtually to our Facebook and YouTube channels. Check our calendar for details.
Spice Club: Be sure to check out this HUGELY popular program which offers recipes for a new spice every month. Free kit and recipe included. Go HERE to find out all the details and download recipes.
