Health and Cooking in the Library

We consider our participation in Healthy Central Florida, as part of Healthy Maitland, a vital part of the Library’s function. We offer a number of health-related programs, and programs to help patrons improve their health, under the Healthy Maitland umbrella.

Maitland Walks
Join our weekly group for an hour of walking followed by tea, coffee, and conversation. We meet every Thursday, 7 am, rain or shine.

YogaYoga
Join us for FREE yoga classes on  the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Monday of the month at 6:30 pm. No library card or registration required.  

Heartfulness Meditation
The Heartfulness Meditation group meets in person on the FIRST Monday of every month and via ZOOM every Tuesday night from 6:00-7:00pm.  Go to the calendar for Zoom access.

Adult Cooking Classes
We love to cook at Maitland Public Library; we offer a number of educational (and delicious!) adult cooking demonstrations.
Cultural Cooks: local cooks share their cultural cooking expertise. Past demonstrations include Vietnamese Cooking with Ha Roda and Vegetarian Cooking with Shahzad Gill.
Healthy Chefs of Maitland: area restaurant chefs cook some of their most popular dishes at the library.
