Summer Reading Kickoff with the Marine Science Center

June 2 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

The Marine Science Center will be hosting an educational program called “Rescue Rehab and Release” via Zoom. It’s geared towards Elementary grades and Middle School students, and  is essentially all about turtles. During the RRR program, groups will learn all about the MSC’s mission, meet some of our permanent resident ambassadors, take a virtual tour into the turtle ICU to see our patients, watch a sea turtle medical procedure and a release video, ask questions and discover the call to actions for protecting our local ecosystems.

You can also pick up your Summer Reading bags at this event! Bags will have craft supplies and supplemental activities to go along with this year’s Summer Reading Program. 200 bags are available on a first come, first served basis.

The program will be streamed to us live from the Marine Science Center and shown on the large screen in the library’s community room. Registration is required and will open on May 19.
