We consider our participation in Healthy Central Florida, as part of Healthy Maitland, a vital part of the Library’s function. We offer a number of health-related programs, and programs to help patrons improve their health, under the Healthy Maitland umbrella.
Maitland Walks
Come to the Library and join other walkers every Thursday morning at 7 a.m. and explore one of our several measured trails. Afterwards, join us for tea or coffee and great conversation. Benefits include:
- Improvement to your physical health;
- Engagement with others in your community both during the walk and afterwards over tea and coffee.
Check out the Walking Map.
Did you know? The Library is actively organizing more measured walking trails in Maitland, with more than seven miles of available trails in the Maitland Center area.

Join us each Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room for an hour of hatha yoga. Bring your own mat, a towel, and water as our instructor guides you through the program.
