Astronomy Week 2017 will be held from March 6-10th.  Please watch this space for updates! Outdoor events are subject to cancellation due to weather. Please call the library at 407-647-7700 with any questions.

Monday March 6:

3-6pm: Planetary Activity Stations in library, courtesy Museum of Arts and Sciences, Daytona

6-8pm: Telescope viewing at Quinn Strong Park, courtesy Museum of Arts and Sciences, Daytona

Tuesday March 7:

1-3pm: Celestial Cinema, Muppets From Space (G, 1999)

3:30-4:30pm: Space Craft for Kids

7-8:30pm: Telescope viewing at Quinn Strong Park, courtesy astronomy enthusiast and Maitland Rotarian Steve Ruta

Wednesday March 8:

1-3pm: Celestial Cinema, Close Encounters of the Third Kind (PG, 1977)

4-5pm: Fresh for Kids- Space Snacks!

7-8:30pm: Telescope viewing at Quinn Strong Park, courtesy astronomy enthusiast and Maitland Rotarian Steve Ruta

Thursday March 9:

4:30-5:30pm: Junior Astronomers: the Moon and Stars! Create a fun craft with astronomy enthusuast Nanci Adler! All ages welcome.

6:30-8:30pm: Telescope Viewing at Quinn Strong Park, courtesy SSCF, Emil Buehler Perpetual Trust Planetarium

Friday March 10:

11am-1pm: Sunspot viewing with astronomy enthusiast Don Crowell, Library Courtyard

1-3pm: Celestial Cinema, E.T the Extra-Terrestrial (PG, 1982)
