Basic PC and Internet Searching classes are held on Monday mornings. The Basic PC class is for individuals who have no experience with computers or whose experience is so limited that they feel the need for very basic instruction. Students will learn what the basic parts of the computer are and how to start the computer and close it down. There will be an exercise in using the mouse. This is a hands-on class meeting on the first Monday of every month at 10 am.. Internet-1 meets on the second Monday of every month at 10 am; students learn about features of browser software, evaluating websites, and do some general searching. Internet-2 meets on the third Monday of every month at 10 am.  Topics include the "Invisible Web" and databases. Web-based Email meets on the fourth Monday of every month at 10 am.  This class concentrates on web-based email features and includes tips on avoiding "spam" and viruses. 	Contemporary Authors Book Discussion Group About every six weeks, a group of very interesting people meet to discuss a book written by a Contemporary author after 1950. We meet from 1:30 to 3:00 on a Wednesday afternoon and share dessert and good conversation about the author and the book. We take turns leading the discussion and choosing the titles. Sometimes we like them, and sometimes we don't, but the conversation is always good.  Please call the Public Services Librarian to find out what title is next and when we will be meeting. "Books to Die For" Mystery Book Discussion Group Meets monthly in the evening on the fourth Tuesday.  Please call the Public Services Librarian to find out what title is currently on the agenda.
	The Friends of the Library present two programs each year. Check local papers or call for information.
	Friends of the Library Book Sale The Friends of the Library hold a small cart sale at the library every Wednesday morning from 10:00 to noon. Larger sales are held every April and October.
